We strive to transform the Indian spirits and wines industry by upholding the highest level of quality, responsibility and ethical business practices.
ETHICAL AND COMPLIANT BUSINESS PRACTICES
Alongside our members, we work to ensure the Indian AlcoBev industry operates in an inclusive, responsible and transparent manner with employees, consumers and external stakeholders.
ISWAI advocates for responsible alcohol consumption by creating conversations about the impact of misuse, spurious and counterfeit products, illicit products, drinking and driving, and underage drinking.
Improve Business Environment
We encourage meaningful dialogues and address industry concerns to create community-led ways of working.
EASE OF DOING BUSINESS
We want to create a level playing field for imported brands in order to encourage investment and improve the ease of doing business in India.
We are raising the standards for quality, production and customisation within the industry to elevate Indian brands for the discerning Indian consumer.
Governance & Compliance
The Indian AlcoBev industry aligns closely with the government to uphold taxation and price control regulations and policies for production, distribution and promotion.
We work with state governments to shape taxation policy, address operational and market access issues and build a predictable taxation framework.
Unrecorded alcohol is produced outside of government control, either in informal settings or without appropriate permissions in place. We develop and encourage practices to keep unrecorded alcohol in check to build trust and credibility in the AlcoBev sector.

The report should be a candid assessment of the member’s progress, however it may be qualified as necessary in consideration of confidential or sensitive information.
